“Yoga allows you to find a new kind of freedom that you may not have known even existed.” — B.K.S. Iyengar
I began practicing yoga in 2005 and immediately felt a deep connection to the practice. I loved how it left me feeling clear-headed, grounded, and ready to face the world. Over time, yoga became such a meaningful part of my life that I enrolled in a yoga teacher training, not originally to teach, but to deepen my own practice. To my surprise, that journey quickly inspired me to share the benefits of yoga with others.
I am a RYT 500 yoga teacher, certified through Heaven Meets Earth Yoga in Evanston, where I completed both my 200-hour and 300-hour trainings. I also hold a Chair Yoga certification and am a Level 3 Reiki practitioner, which allows me to bring an element of energetic awareness and mindfulness into my classes.
Over the past 20 years, I’ve witnessed firsthand how my yoga practice has evolved; that evolution has become the foundation of my teaching philosophy. I believe yoga should meet you where you are. As we change and grow, so should our practice.
My classes weave in pranayama, meditation, and yoga philosophy because I want students to experience yoga not just as a physical practice, but as a practical tool for daily life. Yoga doesn’t need to stay on the mat or in the studio. What you learn through the practice can be a steady companion through it all.
